Here we are
in the last quarter of 2012. We all enjoyed the activities of summer and
getting ready for what the harvest has to offer. It seems every Columbus Day
weekend we are offered countless ideas on how we can spend our free time. In
the past this is the time we liked to take a long weekend or family vacation
and enjoy some of the best weather the year has to offer. Many memories have
been made picking pumpkins, going on hay rides, going to Flea Markets, and generally
getting ready for Halloween.
Halloween is
the highlight of October for the young and young of heart. The entertainment is
as much for the fun loving and adventurous adult as well as a special treat for
the kids. To see all the haunted houses and the different hay rides is a festival
of fun for all ages. Going to the amusement parks all dressed up in their Halloween
garb getting in their last few weekends of fun before settling down with some
new rides and improvements for next year. Or, taking a ride on the Strasburg
Rail Road to take in some early October scenery. Going to the Poconos or the Catskills
and look over the reflections off the lakes and streams. The endless festivals
and the Renaissance Fair or a walk though roads of Historic Williamsburg Virginia.
Google it
check your local listing and save the Columbus Day sales for Monday because
there are places to go and fun things to do with your family a romantic
interest, or anything but be by yourself to kick off your Holiday Season with
the glory of the harvest.
